OVPSA NEW

The GOAL: to provide a fresh new design, based on a simple foundation that appeals to several areas of communication.

While the former site design was fun, we felt it was time for an overhaul. Stepping into a cleaner format, this design offers information in a more organized manner while maintaining a youthful aesthetic. To provide for multiple viewer styles, new elements are included from text-formatted sections, for the more language oriented audience, to a collection of iconic elements for those of us who focus on visual branding for communication. The new OVPSA site is a true example of how growth is essential and exciting.

Collaboration gave way to success with the new Department of Student Affairs Assessment design at UGA.

A true example of teamwork, the new design identity of the Department of Student Affairs Assessment at the University of Georgia, reflects a multitude of individual's visions. From logo's to layouts, the members of the DSAA provided valuable input and ideas leading to a smooth process. I truly enjoyed working with the group and welcome future endeavors.

Offering a clear explanation of student issues; the new Student Support site presents important information with style and efficacy.

To relay pertinant student information, The Office of Student Support at the University of Georgia needed a clearly formatted site with an inviting presence. By combining cool hues with solidly structured text and navigation, the new OSSS site presents a clean solution.

Building the Walk the Line Tattoos site was so much fun!

Walk the Line Tattoos in Athens, GA needed a new site to promote their new tattoo shop. They wanted something that was different, interesting and displayed alot of artwork and tattoos. When approached about the look of the site, the owner replied, "Just do what you want". Yes! This is what every web designer loves to hear. I went at it with both barrells and came up with an ole-timey theme with that appeared tangible and aged. This site includes pages of rollover galleries to showcase the artists paintings and tattoos.

After a smoking summer, I successfully delivered three dynamic site re-designs in only three months with rave reviews! Whew!

Recently launched are a group of university websites, designed with a youthful flair and maximum usability including sites for The Office for the Vice President for Student Affairs, The Department of Intercultural Affairs and the Black Affairs Council at the University of Georgia.

The first, designed especially for the OVPSA, includes vintage UGA memorablilia and is intended to appeal to students, employees and alumni of the university and evokes a sense of school spirit and nostalgia. Dynamic elements include interative rollovers, slideshows, and custom photography. Featured in UGA's Columns Magazine and website, read the reaction...

Next is a new site for UGA's department of Intercultural Affairs. Intended to unify four divisions of this department, information has been pulled together in an organized and modern fashion. Details include numoerous rollovers and a slideshow. Director of ICA, Melissa Shivers responds "Thank you so much for all of your work on the ICA website!  It is so much more inclusive of all of our departments and I am really enjoying it."

Lastly is the site for the Black Affairs Council at UGA. With a custom Flash splash page, interactive rollover image gallery and retro design, this site speaks to techinically savvy students with a modern appeal.
